The recent ceremony has taken place in Healthcare City in Tagus Park, Oeiras. With this prize, Ageas aims at providing the college students with support in developing their innovative ideas. Full of creativity and ground-breaking spirit, young innovators are supposed to deliver the new solutions in the area of infection prevention and protection of human health, well-being and the improvement of life quality. As the final prize, Ageas offered a financial prize and additionally three months of incubation in Healthcare City for the three selected projects.
With our project dryVHP, Fadhil won the final prize as a student of the second year of master´s degree at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. The technology has been announced as a cutting-edge idea providing the solution for the exponential increase in hospital infections.
The second prize was awarded by SeaMe that develops the technology intended for sea sports practitioners with the aim of reducing search time and increasing the likelihood of successful rescue. Finally, the third place was given to Smart Pillow that develops a solution for posture correction.
